Job Purpose
This position exists to provide administrative support to the fast‑paced Core Legal Practices team in the Dow Legal department, working alongside the team’s paralegals and administrative professionals. The Core Legal Practices team manages books of work across all corporate legal practice areas at Dow, including commercial, corporate governance, ethics and compliance, employment, benefits and labor, intellectual property, operations and regulatory, purchasing/procurement, and more.
Responsibilities- Copy, scan, file, mail/ship, and sort/triage/deliver physical mail.
- Order supplies and handle drop‑off/pickup of documents locally.
- Distribute and discontinue contracts and agreements; update Primary Dow Contacts (PDC) for contract/ agreement updates.
- Perform International Trade Organization (ITO) sanctioned‑party screening.
- Provide miscellaneous administrative support.
- Plan and prioritize tasks to meet communicated deadlines.
- Communicate timely, effectively, and professionally; act with initiative and purpose.
- Ask questions and apply answers; learn continuously with intention, focus, organization, and outcomes.
- Prioritize attention to detail, organization, and time management.
- Demonstrate flexibility to changing business needs.

- High school diploma/GED and currently enrolled at an accredited college or university located close to the Midland Dow site, pursuing an undergraduate degree.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable personal vehicle.
- Ability to lift boxes weighing 10‑15 pounds.
- Successfully complete a minimum of 6 credit hours per term during both the Fall and Winter terms (September–April).
- Able to begin work soon, usually within 4‑6 weeks of the job offer, and work year‑round minimum 20 hours each week during regular business hours (8am‑5pm, Monday‑Friday; maximum 8hours/day). During school, a maximum of 30 hours per week is allowed.
- Commit to the role for at least one full calendar year before completing the degree or before transferring out of the area.
- Reliable attendance and punctuality; commute to work daily or at least three days a week.
- Legal ability to work in the United States (no visa sponsorship available).
- Prior clerical or office experience.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook and related Microsoft Office products.
- Strong computer skills.
- High performing student with a GPA of 3.000 or higher.
- Attention to detail: accurately handle administrative tasks such as filing, scanning, and updating records.
- Time management: prioritize and organize tasks to meet deadlines while balancing school commitments.
- Communication: clearly, professionally, and promptly communicate with team members and stakeholders.
- Initiative: proactively identify needs, ask questions, and take ownership of tasks.
- Confidentiality: protect sensitive information and maintain discretion.
Candidates who receive a job offer will be required to pass a background check and drug screen/medical evaluation and will verify school‑related requirements and I‑9 documentation before being hired into Dow. Current Dow college co‑ops wishing to transfer into this role must have been in their current role for at least one full year, have at least one full year left before graduating or transferring out, and obtain supervisor approval before applying.
This position does not offer relocation assistance.
