About you and this roleDow has an exciting opportunity for an Import Scheduler located in Midland, MI.
This role:
- Acts as a technical resource for Scheduling within the Global Project Methodology (GPM) work process. Supports establishment of the overall schedule baseline and reporting to monitor and control the project within established tolerances of the baseline supporting efficient project execution.
- Coordinates data inputs from various disciplines and functions to ensure accurate forecasts and reporting of schedule.
- Engages the project steering team to understand causes of deviation and determine actions to mitigate deviations from established tolerances.
- Requires conceptual knowledge of theories, techniques and methodology within the analytical technology discipline.
- Develops schedule management plans for project plans for management and control.
- Develops and maintains comprehensive integrated master project schedules including Front-end Loading, Detail Design, Procurement, Construction and Start-up/Commissioning Project Stages.
- Maintains schedule during the project life cycle, monitoring progress and incorporating modifications when scope changes or delays occur.
- Utilizes project cost estimates to resource-load project schedules and align with estimated scope of work and schedule.
- Performs staffing density or staffing limitation checks to validate schedule durations and ensures resource-leveling supports the project strategy.
- Leads project teams in forecasting schedule challenges and provides analyses and solutions to complete the project on schedule.
- Performs critical path analysis to identify schedule risks and proposes alternative actions to the project team.
- Evaluates deviations to assess schedule impact and informs recovery plans.
- Works with cost management to align forecasting with schedule completion dates.
- Applies established schedule management practices to address critical issues and recommend corrective actions.
- Defines comprehensive Schedule Management solutions for capital and expense projects.
- A minimum of an Associate's degree or 3 years or more of relevant military training/experience
- 2 years of relevant Supply Chain scheduling experience preferred
- A minimum requirement for this U.S.
-based position is the ability to work legally in the United States. No visa sponsorship/support is available for this position, including for any type of U.S. permanent residency (green card) process.
- Supply Chain Planning (SCP):
The ability to generate and manage time-phased supply schedules that fulfill business requirements while balancing constraints, inventory targets, and customer service levels. - Inventory Management
:
Tracking, analyzing, and optimizing inventory levels—from slow-moving to critical stock—to align with supply plans. - Production Planning
:
Creating and adjusting production schedules based on plant constraints, demand forecasts, and sourcing rules to maximize efficiency and responsiveness. - Master Data Management (MDM):
Maintaining accurate production parameters to support planning and decision-making across systems. - Proactive Problem Solving
:
Identifying and resolving supply issues, often through cross-functional collaboration.
