Qnity Electronics is seeking a Senior Scientist to lead formulation development, project execution, and commercialization efforts for advanced materials technologies. This role serves as a key technical expert, applying deep scientific knowledge to design and execute complex experiments, develop innovative solutions, and support customer and business needs. The successful candidate will collaborate across functions, lead technical initiatives, and drive technology development from concept through commercialization.
This is a 100% onsite position located in our Midland MI facility.

- Lead formulation development, material innovation, and technology commercialization projects.
- Design, execute, and analyze complex experiments, drawing conclusions and recommending next steps based on results.
- Develop technical solutions that address customer needs and support business growth objectives.
- Lead and contribute to multiple R&D projects, ensuring successful execution of technical and business goals.
- Serve as a technical leader for specific technology platforms and may lead technical work streams within larger research programs.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to advance product development, scale-up, and commercialization efforts.
- Apply scientific expertise to solve complex technical challenges and improve existing technologies and processes.
- Identify, develop, and implement innovative solutions by leveraging new technologies, methodologies, and industry insights.
- Provide technical mentorship, training, and guidance to scientists, engineers, and project teams.
- Support customer interactions by providing technical expertise and developing solutions aligned with application requirements.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelors of Science in Chemistry, Metallurgy, Chemical Engineering, or a related scientific discipline.
- 8-10 Years of demonstrated expertise in formulation development, materials science, or a specialized technology field.
- Experience leading technical projects from development through commercialization.
- Strong experimental design, data analysis, and problem-solving capabilities.
- Ability to independently solve complex technical challenges and make sound scientific decisions.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills with the ability to influence cross-functional teams.
