Job Details- Assess the needs of each surgical patient before and during procedures while maintaining patient safety
- Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans for patients during surgical procedures
- Provide leadership to the OR team and supervise activity in the operating room
- Anticipate and coordinate schedule changes for the operating room
- Assemble equipment and supplies for surgical procedures
- Assist anesthesia as necessary and monitor sterile field
- Communicate with patients, families, physicians, OR team, supervisors, and ancillary departments
- Participate in staff development through preceptorship and continuing education
- Attend in-services, educational meetings, staff meetings, and seminars for professional growth
- No weekends required
- No on-call responsibilities
- 2+ years of RN OR experience required
- Recent travel work experience highly preferred
- Epic EMR experience highly preferred
- Active American Heart Association BLS certification required
- Active Michigan nursing license required
- Skills checklist current to 1 year pertinent to Operating Room specialty required
- 2 supervisory reference forms completed within the last two years required
- Facility will not consider local candidates within 50-mile radius
