RN - OR

• Assess the needs of each surgical patient before and during procedures while maintaining patient safety
• Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans for patients during surgical procedures
• Provide leadership to the OR team and supervise activity in the operating room
• Anticipate and coordinate schedule changes for the operating room
• Assemble equipment and supplies for surgical procedures
• Assist anesthesia as necessary and monitor sterile field
• Communicate with patients, families, physicians, OR team, supervisors, and ancillary departments
• Participate in staff development through preceptorship and continuing education
• Attend in-services, educational meetings, staff meetings, and seminars for professional growth
• No weekends required
• No on-call responsibilities
• 2+ years of RN OR experience required
• Recent travel work experience highly preferred
• Epic EMR experience highly preferred
• Active American Heart Association BLS certification required
• Active Michigan nursing license required
• Skills checklist current to 1 year pertinent to Operating Room specialty required
• 2 supervisory reference forms completed within the last two years required
• Facility will not consider local candidates within 50-mile radius
