• Prepare the sterile field
• Select and pass instruments
• Maintain instrument counts
• Anticipate the surgeon’s needs to support efficient workflow
• Scrub in and assist with a broad range of procedures
• Monitor sterility and patient safety
• Collaborate closely with circulating nurses, anesthesia teams, and surgeons
