Work Hours:

Full-time, exempt; schedule requires flexibility to attend evening and weekend events and community activities, as needed.
Function:

The Chief Executive Officer serves as the organization's chief executive and provides overall leadership and direction for agency operations, programs, finances, staff, community relationships, and organizational development. The CEO works closely with the Board of Directors to advance the agency's mission and strategic plan, providing the information, recommendations, and support necessary for effective governance and decision-making. In collaboration with the Director of Clinical Services and other leadership staff, the CEO ensures that agency programs and services are effectively developed, delivered, evaluated, and continuously improved in accordance with industry best practices, legal and regulatory requirements, established policies and procedures, and the Agency Mission and Strategic Plan.

Summary of

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Organizational Leadership:
Lead the development and execution of a multi-year strategic
vision that advances organizational sustainability, expands community impact, and
positions the organization as a trusted, accessible provider of behavioral health and family
support services throughout the region.

  • Provide overall leadership and direction for the agency and its senior leadership team.
  • Foster a healthy organizational culture characterized by clear communication,
    accountability, respect, transparency, professional development, and employee
    engagement.
  • Recruit, develop, evaluate, and retain qualified leadership and staff.
  • Oversee organizational policies, procedures, and risk-management practices.

2. Financial Management & Stability:
The CEO will provide executive leadership for the
financial health, sustainability, and growth of the organization. Work with the Finance
Director to develop and oversee the annual operating budget, monitor financial
performance, ensure appropriate financial controls, oversee audits, and support the
agency’s long-term financial sustainability and resource development.

3. Program & Service Leadership:
Provide organizational and strategic leadership for
the development and evolution of agency programming, working in partnership with
the Director of Clinical Services to ensure programs address community needs,
reflect appropriate clinical expertise, and maintain effective clinical oversight.

  • Ensure programs and services align with the agency’s mission, strategic priorities,
    community needs, and available resources.
  • Support evaluation of program effectiveness and outcomes.
  • Encourage innovation and continuous improvement.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable licensing, accreditation, contractual, and regulatory
    requirements.

4. Board Relations & Governance:
The CEO reports to the Chair of the Board of Directors,
consistent with the existing CEO job description.

  • Work closely with the Board Chair and Board of Directors to advance the agency’s mission
    and strategic priorities.
  • Provide the Board with timely, accurate, and meaningful information to support effective
    governance and decision-making.
  • Support Board development, orientation, committee work, and succession planning as
    appropriate.
  • Maintain a productive relationship between the Board and agency staff while respecting
    appropriate governance and management roles.

5. Community Relations & External Leadership:
The CEO will serve as the chief ambassador
and advocate for the agency.

  • Serve as a primary spokesperson and community representative for the agency.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with community partners, government agencies,
    funders, donors, businesses, and other stakeholders.
  • Represent the agency in community, professional, and collaborative initiatives.
  • Advocate for the needs of children, families, and the communities served.

6. Fund Development & Resource Development:
Provide leadership and strategic direction for
the agency’s fund development efforts in collaboration with the Director of Fund Development
