Patient Placement Assistant - WKND

University of Michigan Health -  - Responsibilities:
Assigns patients being admitted to any My Michigan Health medical center utilizing Bed Planning policy as a guide and following physician orders;
Receives direction from Transfer Coordinator RN and nursing supervision as needed to ensure appropriate bed assignment;
Completes necessary processes in electronic medical record (EMR) to ensure patient transfer to unit is completed accurately in system;
Provides customer service to hospitals/physicians or those wishing to transfer patients to My Michigan Health facilities;
Takes direction from Transfer Coordinator RN to assist with transfer process and refers clinical questions to the RN or Patient Placement nursing leadership for completion of transfer
