Performs skilled nursing functions in accordance with federal, state, and local laws and within the guidelines of professional standards and the Nurse Practice Act.

All nursing services provided will be under the direction of a medical practitioner (MD, DO, NP, PA, etc.) orders.

Part‑time day coverage for an older pediatric client.

• Provide professional nursing care as defined in the state Nurse Practice Act.
• Provide care in accordance with medical practitioner orders and the client’s care plan.
• Maintain orders for clients and document all changes in orders in the medical record following Agency procedures.
• Scope of clinical practice includes personal care services, monitoring and reporting findings, medication administration, client teaching, emergency intervention, and specialized pediatric services such as tracheostomy care, ventilator management, and tube feedings.
• Work collaboratively with other members of the client’s care team.
• Promote personal safety and a safe environment for clients and coworkers.
• Perform job in compliance with Agency policies, procedures, and applicable payor and accreditation standards.
• Participate in the coordination of care and attend Agency meetings as requested.
• Perform other related duties and responsibilities as deemed necessary.

• Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing.
• Current license to practice as an RN or LPN in the state of operation.
• Current CPR certification.
• Demonstrated written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Licensed driver with automobile insured in accordance with state and/or Agency requirements.
