Role
Description:
This is a full-time, on-site Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) role located in MI. The CRNA will provide safe and effective anesthesia care, including pre‑anesthesia assessments, development of anesthesia plans, administration and maintenance of anesthesia, and post‑anesthesia evaluation. Daily responsibilities include collaborating with physicians, surgeons, and perioperative teams; monitoring patients’ responses to anesthesia; managing airways; and responding promptly to changes in patient status.
The role also involves preparing and checking anesthesia equipment, medications, and supplies, ensuring accurate documentation in medical records, and adhering to facility protocols and regulatory standards. The CRNA will contribute to a team-based environment that prioritizes patient safety, clinical excellence, and respectful communication.
- Potential for occasional call, not required if provider is not open to taking call
- 70% inpatient; 30% outpatient
- Need candidate to start ASAP; likely to extend
- Will go for 6 months and possibly longer
- Full time availability needed (40 hours per week)
- Schedule can vary in days/times depending on needs of the department and provider availability/preference

- Must have experience with spinals, epidurals, venous catheters, arterial catheters
- AHA BLS

- 75 patients within the last 12 months
- MI License only
- Strong clinical expertise in Anesthesiology and General Anesthesia, with the ability to manage a range of anesthesia cases safely and independently.
- Current, unrestricted Michigan Nursing licensure and CRNA certification, with demonstrated proficiency in advanced practice nursing within perioperative settings.
- Solid foundation in Medicine and Surgery, including understanding of surgical procedures, perioperative physiology, and multidisciplinary care coordination.
- Graduate degree from an accredited nurse anesthesia program and active certification/recertification through the NBCRNA.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications;
Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) preferred, depending on patient population. - Proven ability to work effectively in fast-paced clinical environments, exercise sound clinical judgment, and maintain composure in urgent or emergent situations.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a commitment to patient-centered care, cultural humility, and collaborative teamwork.
- Willingness to comply with all institutional policies, quality and safety initiatives, and continuing education requirements.
