RN: This position must have basic knowledge of general and complex rehabilitation patients and be able to assess, plan, implement and evaluate care for patients. They will maintain and oversee employees and patients at the office location and will act as the liaison with other subsidiary and organization’s personnel. This position orders all medical supplies to manage patient care. The Supervisor RN will assure compliance with the policies/procedures by maintaining the Health Systems policies, OSHA guidelines, CLIA regulations, and corporate compliance.

The Supervisor RN will coordinate and train any new employees. The position will provide teaching to patients and their family members. Manages the patient with pain management and symptom management, and will be available for office emergencies. Calls in prescriptions and teaches the patient and family the reasons for the medication and side effects. Will be working in collaboration with providers and staff from Michigan Medicine.

This position provides daily direction and problem solving to clinical and administrative staff.

This position orders all medical supplies to manage patient care. Responsibilities
  • (25%) The Supervisor RN/LPN will coordinate and train new employees and conduct coaching and disciplinary conversations, along with job performance reviews for all staff. Processes time keeping in the payroll system for bi-weekly payroll. Facilitate the hiring process and selection of new employees.
  • (25%) Performs clinical duties as needed including triaging patient calls and reporting test results to patients. Assess patients as appropriate and serve as a liaison between the provider and patient.
  • (25%) Handles day-to-day clinical operations in the clinic and utilizes critical thinking skills to resolve issues.
  • (25%) Interacts positively with patients and families in an ongoing way. Provides information to patients so they may fully utilize and benefit from our services.
  • OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES Demonstrates critical thinking and integration of theory to practice for Rehabilitation patients.
  • Provides for the age specific needs of the population served according to department standards and policies/procedures as evidenced by observation, documentation and peer feedback.
  • Maintains medical supplies to assure consistent supply levels to meet the needs of the patients.
  • Rooms patients during office visits and performs and records all vital signs on patient. Assesses physical as well as social needs of the patient. Verifies patient demographic information and maintains clinical documentation.
  • Management of the patient with symptoms management, and will be available for care emergencies.
  • Calls in prescriptions and teaches the patient and family the reasons for the medications and side effects.
  • Serves as a resource to technical, clerical and medical staff.
  • Identifies preventative maintenance needs for any office equipment.
  • Conducts performance review of clinical staff and conducts follow up as appropriate.
