A leading healthcare systemin Midland, Michigan is seeking a Locums Hospitalist Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to provide overnight inpatient coverage. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced APP who thrives in an acute care setting and is comfortable managing admissions, cross coverage, and rapid responsesituations independently while collaborating with a multidisciplinary hospitalteam.
Position Highlights- Schedule:
7 on / 7 off - Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
- Setting: 100% Inpatient
- EMR:
Epic with Dragon dictation - Michigan-based candidates only
- Provide comprehensive overnight inpatient
Hospitalist coverage - Perform new patient admissions andevaluations
- Manage cross coverage for hospitalizedpatients
- Respond to rapid response events and codesituations
- Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff,specialists, and ancillary teams to ensure high-quality patient care
- Accurately document patient encounters using
Epic and Dragon dictation
- Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioneror Physician Assistant program
- Board Certified as an NP or PA
- Active Michigan license required
- Michigan-based candidates only
- Current ACLS and BLS certifications (American Heart Association preferred)
- Previous inpatient Hospitalist experience strongly preferred
- Comfortable managing admissions, crosscoverage, rapid responses, and codes independently
