Critical Care Nurse
This position performs a variety of integrated pre and post-operative critical care functions, intuitively, using the nursing process while applying a broad nursing knowledge in a caring, concerned manner.
Responsibilities:
- Assess patient for physical, emotional, psych/social and family support.
- Organizes and coordinates all aspects of patient care according to the patient's real and/or perceived needs.
- Evaluates patient progress by correlating patient information with nursing knowledge to determine if goals are being met according to the patient's plan of care or clinical path.
- Consults and collaborates with members of the healthcare team in planning and implementing total patient care for individuals.
Requirement
Description:
- 2+ years of SICU Experience - [REQUIRED]
- Open Heart Trained - [REQUIRED]
- BLS (AHA) & ACLS (AHA) - Required
- Prior Travel Assignment History - [PREFERRED]
- Epic EMR Experience - [PREFERRED]
- Candidates' Permanent Address (Facility will not consider local candidates - 50-mile radius restriction)
- ALL SCHEDULING REQUESTS MUST BE MADE AT THE TIME OF SUBMISSION (Facility will NOT approve scheduling requests at/after time of offer / Please obtain this information prior to submittal / Requests after offer can be cause for rescinded offer)

- Work History
- Skills Checklist, current to 1 year, pertinent to the speciality (ICU) - [REQUIRED] [DOCUMENT]
- 2 Supervisory Reference Forms Completed within the last two years - [REQUIRED] [DOCUMENT]
- Active American Heart Association BLS - [REQUIRED] [DOCUMENT]
- Active American Heart Association ACLS - [REQUIRED] [DOCUMENT]
- LARA and/or Nursys must state Active Michigan/MI License - [REQUIRED] [DOCUMENT]
CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
- ACLS (AHA)
- BLS (AHA)
STATE LICENSE REQUIREMENTS:
- Michigan
ADDITIONAL LICENSE REQUIREMENTS:
Must be active!
Weekend Requirements:
Three weekend shifts per 4 week scheduling period.
