Description:
This position involves assessing, implementing, and monitoring patient care for outpatients assigned to observation status.
The role requires regular assessment of patients' needs and providing skilled nursing services as prescribed by the physician's authorized plan of care and accepted standards of nursing practice.
Direct patient care will include medication administration, treatments, responding to call lights, assisting with transfers, and managing alarms.
The effectiveness of treatment plans will be evaluated, and participation in updating or revising plans will be necessary in collaboration with the healthcare team.
Processing physician orders and performing physician-ordered care accurately and completely in a timely manner is essential.
Follow-up regarding medication changes and order clarifications is also required.
