General Purpose

Cares for and maintains the golf turf areas, ornamental trees, sand traps, irrigation repairs/maintenance. Also can supervise other staff members, and run weekend crews.

• Prepares soil for planting beds and lawn areas.
• Operates mechanical equipment such as mowers, weed trimmers and utility vehicles, tractors, etc.
• Renovate turf areas, bunkers and other essential areas on the golf course.
• Prunes and trims trees and shrubs, using chain saw and other pruning tools.
• Maintains a clean landscape environment through trash removal and debris cleanup.
• Maintains landscape through application of mulch, water, fertilizer and grooming.
• Incorporates safe work practices in job performance.
• Regular and reliable attendance.
• Performs other duties as required.

Less than high school education; or up to one month related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Frequently stands and walks; uses hands; reaches with hands and arms; stoops, kneels, crouches or crawls; talks or hears. Occasionally sits, climbs and balances, tastes or smells. Frequently lifts up to 50 pounds.

Occasionally works in wet or humid conditions (non-weather); near moving mechanical parts; fumes or airborne particles, with toxic or caustic chemicals. Frequently works in outdoor weather conditions. Occasionally experiences vibration. Noise level is moderate.

Valid Driver’s License

• Ability to read and speak English may be required in order to perform the duties of the job (e.g. the associates may be required to communicate with English speaking customers or co-workers, the manuals for the equipment the associates may use are in English).
