Sales Representative, Business Development, Sales Development Rep/SDR
Join Alta Equipment Group, one of North America’s largest equipment dealers. We are seeking a Sales Representative for Compact Construction Equipment to cover Northeast Michigan (Saginaw to Cheboygan counties).

- Work schedule:
M‑F, day shift
- Secure orders, conduct territory surveys, study product potential, locate new prospects and determine their needs.
- Plan and conduct sales calls, make presentations, highlight equipment benefits, and emphasize company advantages.
- Provide technical assistance, solve customer problems and keep them updated on new developments.
- Stay informed on new contracts, settle complaints, maintain personal relationships, and assist at exhibits, demonstrations and meetings.
- Keep company informed of competitor products and changes that may affect performance.
- Maintain organized literature, brochures, price sheets and inform customers of catalog and price changes; study financing arrangements.
- Record calls, prepare reports, follow up on leads, bids and inquiries; manage travel, telephone and entertainment expenses.
- Accurately present quotations and verify manufacturer programs to offer best options.
- Communicate with superiors about territory changes, cooperate with other departments, and uphold sales professionalism.
- Ensure correct delivery of equipment and address deficiencies promptly.
- Routinely “Tows and Shows” equipment to customers.
- Cooperate with employees of other departments.
- Work with assigned Sales Manager to interpret and fulfill all job functions.
- Coordinate with other departmental managers on mutual concerns.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Sales Manager.
- Attainment of sales revenue growth and profits.
- Customer satisfaction regarding territory management and assistance.
- Management and team satisfaction with performance.
- Ability to lift 90 lbs 50 % of the time for loading/unloading equipment.
- Proficiency with personal computers, business systems and Microsoft Office.
- CDL‑A / Chauffeur license preferred or ability to obtain one.
