Opportunity OverviewA rapidly growing, innovative building materials manufacturer is seeking a Vice President of Sales to lead the next phase of commercial growth and market expansion. Reporting directly to executive leadership, this individual will be responsible for scaling the sales organization, accelerating revenue growth, expanding channel partnerships, and developing a high-performing commercial team.
This executive will oversee a team of approximately 8–10 sales professionals, including Regional Sales Managers, Specialty Sales Managers, and Channel Sales leadership. The role will also be responsible for optimizing an established dealer network while strategically building a broader national distribution and channel partner ecosystem.
This is a highly visible leadership opportunity within a growth-oriented organization that has more than doubled revenue in recent years and serves a diverse portfolio of blue-chip customers across commercial, industrial, transportation, and infrastructure markets.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and execute the company's overall sales strategy to achieve aggressive growth objectives.
- Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing sales organization across multiple channels and geographies.
- Drive revenue growth through direct sales, dealer relationships, distribution partners, and strategic channel development.
- Expand and strengthen national distribution and channel partnerships.
- Build scalable sales processes, forecasting disciplines, and performance metrics to support continued growth.
- Partner closely with executive leadership on commercial strategy, market expansion initiatives, and organizational planning.
- Enhance customer acquisition and retention strategies while maximizing value from existing relationships.
- Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement throughout the sales organization.
- Evaluate market trends, competitive dynamics, and customer needs to identify new growth opportunities.
The successful candidate will bring:
- Proven success leading multi-channel sales organizations within the building materials, construction products, industrial products, or related sectors.
- Experience managing direct sales teams, dealer networks, distributors, and strategic channel partnerships.
- Demonstrated ability to build and scale sales organizations during periods of rapid growth.
- Strong leadership capabilities with a track record of recruiting, developing, and retaining top commercial talent.
- Expertise in sales process development, forecasting, pipeline management, and performance optimization.
- Strategic mindset combined with a hands‑on leadership approach.
- Excellent communication, influencing, and relationship-building skills.
- Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree preferred.
