The Nick Van Ness Agency is adding an Agent in Training to our Midland team. We're looking for someone who enjoys working with people, isn't afraid to pick up the phone, and wants a career where there is always another goal to work toward.

You don't need years of insurance experience to succeed here. If you bring strong communication skills, motivation, and a willingness to learn, we'll help you develop the insurance and sales knowledge you need to grow.

Your focus will be developing new business while helping customers make informed decisions about their insurance. You'll learn how to:

• Connect with prospective customers through leads, referrals, and outreach

• Have conversations that uncover what clients actually need

• Prepare quotes and explain Auto, Home, Life, Business, and other insurance options

• Follow up with prospects and confidently ask for the sale

• Build relationships with customers beyond the initial policy

• Identify additional opportunities to help existing clients

• Organize your pipeline and follow-ups using agency systems

• Work toward personal production goals and contribute to agency growth

We're looking for someone who brings the right mindset to the role. That means being willing to learn, staying consistent, and not letting a few "no's" stop you from finding the next "yes."

A strong candidate will:

• Be comfortable starting conversations with new people

• Enjoy working toward measurable goals

• Have strong communication and relationship-building skills

• Be persistent, self-motivated, and dependable

• Take coaching well and put feedback into practice

• Stay organized and consistent with follow-up

• Have previous sales or customer service experience preferred

• Hold a Property & Casualty and/or Life & Health license, or be willing to obtain the required licensing
