We are seeking a hands‑on architect with strong commercial construction and project management experience who thrives at developing solutions, understands real‑world installation constraints, and can collaborate closely with customers, contractors, installers, and internal teams. If you love solving problems in the field, integrating products into complex construction environments, and bridging design with practical application, we want you on our team.
What You’ll Own and Drive Architectural Solutions & Applications- Engage with Swift Wall’s sales team and technical team to develop solutions that integrate Swift Wall into customer applications.
- Work directly with channel partners and customers, including contractors, architects, installers, and owners to understand project needs and jobsite conditions and translate them into field‑ready system designs.
- Collaborate with manufacturing to prototype, refine, and validate system components.
- Create construction‑ready drawings, installation details, and integration concepts using CAD tools (AutoCAD, Inventor/Solid Works, Sketch Up, Bluebeam, etc.).
- Lead the development of installation standards, best practices, and technical documentation.
- Lead Swift Wall’s architectural initiatives, from brand awareness through technical solutions development.
- Schedule and perform architectural lunch & learns with Swift Wall’s sales team that provide AIA CEU’s.
- Manage revisions and updates to Swift Wall’s BIM library, Sketchup library, architectural specifications, and AIA courses.
- Manage projects from pre‑design through construction, including coordination of trades and installations throughout the design of the project
- Help develop project budgets, proposals, material take‑offs, install strategies, and schedules related to system deployment
- Proactively engage in customer pre‑construction meetings and permitting authorities, both onsite and remote, to ensure proper understanding of site conditions, requirements, and scopes of work for successful planning and execution of projects.
- Manage onsite projects including the trades, installers, and contractors, with hands‑on guidance to ensure correct application of Swift Wall systems.
- Troubleshoot installation challenges and adapt solutions in real time to meet site requirements.
- Conduct effective postmortem meetings within the organization and communicate effectively with all stakeholders to capture and implement lessons learned on future projects.
- At least 3 years of experience working in the commercial construction industry, preferably with contractor and design‑build experience
- Degree in architecture, engineering, construction management, or related is preferred
- Hands‑on and comfortable working directly with power tools
- Experience managing projects, trade partners, and install crews
- Skilled at reading and interpreting architectural drawings, construction documents, and installation details
- Design experience with Inventor, Solid Works, AutoCAD, Revit, Sketch up, or related software
- An effective leader and communicator of technical concepts to both technical and non‑technical stakeholders
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs
- Willing to travel up to 50 percent of the time to job sites, channel partners, potential customer sales visits and trade shows as directed and required
