Installs, inspects, operates, and repairs refrigeration equipment for preserving food, making ice, cooling water, medical care, and heating, ventilating and air conditioning of the Medical Center facilities.;
Inspects and operates refrigerating machinery, coolers, and freezer units to ensure proper function.;
Maintains and repairs systems; traces electrical control system and makes corrections; tests operation and performs soldering, repacking, replacements as needed.;
Installs refrigeration systems per blueprints and manufacturer specifications; maintains operations using microprocessors, digital controllers, and high-speed networks.;
Performs minor carpentry, plastering and painting in connection with refrigeration work.
