Staff Accountant

Description We are looking for a meticulous Staff Accountant to join our team in Midland, Texas. In this role, you will be responsible for managing key aspects of financial operations, including transaction recording, account reconciliation, and financial reporting. A background in the oil and gas industry is highly desirable, and familiarity with Integra accounting software will be a significant advantage.

Responsibilities:

- Record journal entries and reconcile bank accounts and general ledger accounts to ensure accuracy.

- Support the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes.

- Review financial statements for precision and adherence to company policies.

- Prepare account reconciliations, accruals, and detailed supporting schedules.

- Facilitate the processing of accounts payable and receivable transactions.

- Manage fixed asset accounting and reporting activities.

- Collaborate with the finance team to assist in audits, budgeting, and forecasting initiatives.

- Generate ad hoc reports and provide analytical support to management as needed. Requirements - Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a closely related field.

- Minimum of 1-2 years of accounting experience with a focus on accuracy and attention to detail; oil and gas industry experience is preferred.

- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software; familiarity with Integra is a plus.

- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy in financial tasks.

- Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.

- Effective communication skills with a collaborative mindset.

- Demonstrated ability to work independently and within a team environment.
