Position: Counselor Clerk (Goddard)

Job Description

Midland Independent School District, Goddard Junior High School – Counselor Clerk. Non‑Exempt position assisting the counselor with student material preparation, scheduling, and related administrative duties.

Essential Functions
  • Basic typing
  • Alphabetize and file materials
  • Work with co‑workers, teachers, and students
  • List all compiled information
  • Receive and process mail pertaining to the counselor’s office
  • Keep neat and orderly records
  • Accurately enter data into the computer (transcripts, eligibility, reclassification, PEIMS)
  • Assist in preparation for standardized testing
  • Student updates, A+ grades input, PRC filing
  • Prepare and mail interim progress reports
  • Provide information to students and parents in person
  • Perform PEIMS data functions as assigned by the principal
  • Perform all related duties as assigned by the supervisor
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Ability to read and write acceptable English
  • Typing skills
  • Computer skills

  • Moderate lifting (15‑44 lbs.)
