The Sewell Family of Companies is seeking experienced Lube Technicians who have a desire to be part of a customer-focused team in a faced paced environment, this position will be responsible for assisting customers with low-level service requests including oil changes and other fluid replacements.? The main priority of a Lube Technician is to provide quality maintenance to vehicles, helping to build confidence in the company and garner lifelong customer relationships.
Job Responsibilities:- Perform multipoint inspections
- Communicate additional service/repair needs to service advisors
- Service universal joints, grease fittings, and steering knuckles using hand- or compressed-air powered grease guns
- Inspect fluid levels in steering gears, power steering reservoirs, transmissions, differentials, rear axle housings and shackles
- Check tire pressure
- Lubricate moving parts with specified lubricants
- Drain oil from crankcase and refill with required amount of oil
- Add water to radiator and battery
- Replace oil and air filters
- Inspect all vehicles for additional repairs
- Adhere to all company policies, procedures, safety standards and codes of conduct
- Follow dealership safety procedures to avoid exposure to fumes, dirt and harsh chemicals
Full-Time
- Monday
- Friday 7:30am-6pm, Rotating Saturdays 7:30am-2pm
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
- Effective communication and customer service skills
- The ability to read and follow complex directions in manuals as well as relay information in reports
- Prior automotive experience or formal Automotive Technical Training
- The physical ability to perform all tasks related to the position of Lube Technician, such as bending and reaching standing for long periods of time and lifting over 60 pounds.
Qualifications:
To be successful in this position, the individual must be able to perform each job responsibility satisfactorily, have a valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record, complete a drug screening, background screening, and provide all government I-9 requirements. A combination of education, experience, and training is always considered.
