Education:
** 4 Year Degree Airport Properties & Development Manager – Midland International Air & Space Port (MAF) is seeking an experienced professional to lead airport property management, lease administration, and strategic development initiatives for Midland International Air & Space Port and Midland Airpark. This position manages airport leases, tenant agreements, RFQs/RFPs, consultant selection, contract administration, and long-range property development while coordinating with the FAA, developers, engineers, consultants, and City departments.
Responsibilities include supporting Airport Master Plan implementation, capital development projects, airport land use planning, and regulatory compliance. The successful candidate will prepare reports and recommendations for the Airport Director to help maximize airport assets through sustainable economic development. Ideal candidates will have experience in airport management, airport planning, commercial real estate, public procurement, or economic development, with knowledge of FAA grant assurances and airport leasing practices preferred.
Bachelor's degree in Aviation Management, Business Administration, Public Administration, Real Estate, Urban Planning, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field. Five (5) to seven (7) years of progressively responsible experience in airport management, airport planning, commercial real estate, property management, economic development, contract administration, or development coordination. Knowledge of airport property management, lease administration, public procurement, and airport planning principles. Experience coordinating RFQs, RFPs, consultant selection, and contract administration.
Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to prepare reports, presentations, and recommendations for executive leadership and governing bodies. Ability to manage multiple projects and build effective relationships with tenants, developers, consultants, government agencies, and internal stakeholders. Valid Texas Driver License (or ability to obtain one upon hire).
