Field Construction Coordinator
Tech Serv is seeking a Field Construction Coordinator (FCC) to join our growing team. The role supports critical electric transmission and substation projects and requires a safety‑focused, detail‑oriented construction professional willing to work in a field environment.
About the RoleThe Field Construction Coordinator will manage the construction of Transmission Lines or Transmission Station facilities, ensuring compliance with Federal, State, and Local Regulations, client standards, and project specifications.
Duties & Responsibilities- Coordinate contractor duties and assignments for Transmission Line or Station construction.
- Review client plans, drawings, and specifications for constructability prior to construction, reporting potential issues.
- Provide site coordination to ensure regulatory compliance and adherence to client standards.
- Generate standard and ad‑hoc construction progress reports as requested by the client.
- Interface with client databases using computer/technology skills.

- Provide quality feedback on contractors, materials, and equipment.
- Manage material inspection, receipt, and delivery; prepare corrective action reports and coordinate delivery to job sites.
- Coordinate required outages with the Operation Center and arrange operating orders from the Dispatching Authority as needed.
- Maintain OSHA compliance oversight.
- Provide estimates to authorize station or line construction work and verify completed work.
- Collaborate with the entire project team to contribute to successful project completion.
- 6+ years of experience in electric transmission line and/or substation construction (supervision experience is a plus).
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams).
- Willingness to work extended hours and travel to remote project locations.
- Ability to pass all pre‑employment and ongoing screening requirements (drug testing, background checks, motor vehicle record reviews).
- Valid driver’s license.
- First Aid/AED/CPR Certification.
- OSHA 30 Certification.
- Work outdoors with exposure to weather (heat, cold, extreme conditions).
- Standing and walking continuously throughout the day.
- Frequent driving over long distances in varying weather.
- Ability to operate a vehicle safely, maintaining alertness and orientation while driving.
- Ability to lift, carry, and push up to 50+ pounds regularly.
- Work under stressful conditions to meet deadlines and company needs.
- Manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.

Lead Field Construction Coordinator (Lead FCC)
Job Type: Full‑time, Hourly Non‑Exempt
Territory:
Big Springs, Lubbock, Midland, Odessa, and Pecos
Travel:
Frequent travel throughout the assigned territory required
Schedule:
Project dependent (will vary based on project schedule and requirements)
