Description

We are seeking a Business Unit Quality Manager (RQM) to join our team. In this leadership role, you will oversee and ensure the implementation of quality standards across multiple projects within a designated region. You will work closely with project teams, subcontractors, and company leadership to promote a culture of quality, compliance, and continuous improvement. The ideal candidate will be a proactive construction professional with experience in quality management, field operations, and team development who is passionate about driving operational excellence and client satisfaction.

Essential Job Functions
  • Develop and implement project-specific quality plans to ensure compliance with company standards and project requirements
  • Oversee construction quality through regular jobsite visits, inspections, and audits
  • Collaborate with project teams to proactively identify and resolve quality-related issues
  • Facilitate pre-installation meetings and coordinate mock-up reviews to establish and maintain quality expectations
  • Provide training, coaching, and guidance to project teams on quality processes, reporting requirements, and corrective actions
  • Partner with subcontractors and vendors to ensure quality requirements are understood and consistently met
  • Address quality deficiencies and assist project teams with corrective action plans
  • Analyze quality performance data and prepare reports identifying trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement
  • Promote a culture of quality, accountability, and continuous improvement throughout the organization
  • Maintain knowledge of applicable construction codes, standards, regulations, and industry best practices
  • Support operational leadership in driving quality initiatives and improving project performance
  • Perform other duties as assigned
Required

Skills and Qualifications
  • 4-7 years of experience in field supervision, quality control, safety, and construction production across multiple phases of construction
  • Strong understanding of commercial construction means, methods, and quality management processes
  • Experience conducting quality inspections, audits, and compliance reviews
  • Knowledge of construction codes, specifications, and industry standards
  • Strong leadership, mentorship, and coaching abilities
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to effectively collaborate with project teams, subcontractors, and clients
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Experience developing and implementing corrective action plans
  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment
Physical Activities and Requirements
  • Occasional lifting of 20 pounds or more may be required
  • Strong manual dexterity for the use of computers, mobile devices, and office equipment
  • Work is performed in both office and active construction site environments
  • Required use of personal protective equipment (PPE) while visiting jobsites
  • Extended periods of sitting, standing, movement, computer use, and phone communication
  • Ability to traverse and inspect all areas of a construction site in varying weather conditions
  • Ability to walk, climb, reach, bend, crawl, stretch, and perform other physical activities associated with jobsite inspections
