Key Responsibilities Clinical Care & Preventive Treatment
  • Perform dental cleanings (prophylaxis), periodontal scaling, and root planning
  • Conduct oral cancer screenings and periodontal charting
  • Take and process dental X‑rays and digital scans
  • Apply sealants, fluoride, and desensitizing agents
  • Educate patients on proper brushing, flossing, and long‑term oral hygiene habits
  • Provide nutritional and lifestyle guidance related to oral health
Treatment Coordination & Documentation
  • Review and update medical histories and patient records
  • Collaborate with the dentist on treatment planning
  • Document clinical findings accurately in patient management software (e.g., Dentrix, Eaglesoft)
Infection Control & Equipment Care
  • Maintain strict adherence to OSHA, CDC, and HIPAA guidelines
  • Clean, sterilize, and prepare instruments and treatment rooms
Qualifications
  • Licensed Dental Hygienist in Texas
  • Current CPR/BLS certification
  • Proficiency in Patient Management Software
  • Strong communication and patient care skills
  • Ability to work efficiently and professionally in a team environment
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to stand or sit for extended periods
