General Dentist

Abbeville Dentistry is seeking a General Dentist to provide comprehensive care within our pediatric-focused practice. You will deliver high-quality restorative, preventive, and emergency dentistry for children and families, supported by experienced hygienists and assistants. Responsibilities include exams, diagnosis and treatment planning, fillings, extractions, space maintenance, and coordinating specialty referrals as needed. You'll use modern digital technology, educate patients and parents on oral health, and maintain accurate clinical records.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive general and pediatric dental care to children and families
• Perform exams, diagnosis, and develop treatment plans
• Complete restorative procedures including fillings, crowns, and basic endodontics as appropriate
• Perform simple and surgical extractions and manage dental emergencies
• Place and monitor pediatric appliances such as space maintainers when indicated
• Educate patients and parents on oral health, prevention, and post-treatment care
• Use digital radiography and modern dental technology in daily practice
• Maintain accurate, timely clinical notes and documentation in the practice management system
• Collaborate with hygienists, assistants, and front office staff for coordinated patient care
• Coordinate and refer patients to specialty providers when clinically appropriate
