Hutchinson Public Schools Activities Department is seeking a Distributive Education Clubs of America (DECA) Advisor.

The DECA Advisor will carry out the purpose statement and objectives of the program. This person will be responsible for tryouts, practices, and competitions for this activity.

• 2 hours per day, 45-55 days per year
• Season begins 10/1/2025

• Prefer Minnesota teaching and coaching certification.
• Prefer employment as a teacher in the Hutchinson School District.
• Previous coaching experience in assigned activity is desirable.
• Has knowledge and background in the assigned activity.

• The stipend range for this position is $3,036.00 - $4,047.00 and is dependent upon education and experience.
• The district will pay the coach a fixed stipend as delineated in Schedule C, of the master agreement with the Education Hutchinson. The stipend amount is considered a “nominal stipend”. The amount of the stipend will not change based on the number of daily hours that are devoted to coaching/advisor duties or the team’s level of success. If team enrollment is not met, the district may make staffing reductions that reflect program level offerings within the first two weeks of the program.
  
  Any service provided during this two-week timeframe will be paid on a weekly pro-rated basis. In addition, if the selected candidate is unable to fulfill coaching/advising duties for five or more days, the stipend paid will be prorated.
