High School PrincipalThe Diamond R-IV School District is seeking a dynamic leader to serve as Diamond High School Principal for the school year. The principal is responsible for fostering a positive, student-centered learning environment focused on academic excellence, character development, and post-secondary readiness. This position provides visionary leadership to staff and students while ensuring alignment with district goals, policies, and state regulations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities Instructional Leadership- Develop and communicate a clear vision for academic excellence and continuous improvement.
- Supervise and evaluate certified and classified staff in accordance with district policy.
- Promote high-quality instructional practices that support student achievement and engagement.
- Establish and maintain a safe, inclusive, and respectful school environment.
- Promote positive relationships among students, staff, families, and the community.
- Oversee student discipline in a fair and consistent manner.
- Serve as the primary liaison between the high school and families.
- Communicate effectively with parents, community members, and stakeholders.
- Represent Diamond High School at school and community events.
Required:
- Master’s degree in Educational Leadership or related field
- Minimum of five (5) years successful teaching experience
- Demonstrated leadership experience at the secondary level
Preferred:
- Specialist or Doctorate degree in Educational Leadership
- Prior administrative experience at the high school level
The principal must be able to move throughout the building, attend school activities, and perform duties that may require standing, walking, or lifting light to moderate objects.
EvaluationPerformance of this position will be evaluated annually by the Superintendent in accordance with district policy and Missouri administrative standards.
