School of the Osage, in partnership with our students, families and community, will equip all learners to reach their maximum potential for a lifetime of success.
Type of Position: Head High School Boys Soccer Coach; teaching position to be determined.
Category: Certified
Reports to: Activities Director or Building Principal
Degrees required or preferred: Certified teacher
Performance Expectations:
- General knowledge of coaching techniques and procedures
- Responsible for developing the skills of individual players and assist them to gain fitness in areas of defensive or offensive play, or goalkeeping
- Plan and supervise practices
Assist in selection of equipment and instructional materials - Maintain a current inventory of all fixed assets within the program
- Plan and coordinate soccer schedules and in preparing weekly game reports in conjunction with the Activities Director.
- Notify transportation director of travel arrangements
Skills:
- Strong organizational, communications and interpersonal skills
- Encourage, by example and through instruction, sportsmanlike conduct in all phases of athletic participation
- Motivate players to do their best and ensure that the team is following the tactics and issue instructions to maintain momentum
