The Fordland R-3 School District is accepting applications for a 6-12 Special Education Teacher for the 2026/27 School Year.
Applicants must possess appropriate Missouri DESE certification. Previous experience is preferred, but not required. The ideal candidate should be capable of being a team member willing to work hard to help increase academic achievement, be energetic, and show high enthusiasm, be caring, yet firm, with effective classroom management; knowledge in writing IEPs, Section 504 Plans, behavior plans, and the Special Education process;
great communication skills; experience with students who have behavioral needs; and works collaboratively with all team members. Student success is the key focus of Fordland Schools.
Requirements for this position include: certification in Special Education Mild/Moderate Cross Categorical. Preferred skills include: DLM knowledge and prior experience.
