Job DescriptionThird Future Schools is a high‑achieving and growing network of charter schools. The school in Midland, Texas, Sam Houston, is looking for a Teacher Apprentice ELAR.
ElAR Teacher Apprentices work with distinguished teachers to grow their craft and become classroom teachers. They collaborate, familiarize themselves with lessons and instructional materials, and provide effective instruction. When the school leadership team and the distinguished teacher determine the apprentice is ready to provide direct instruction without support, they will be elevated to the teacher position with a salary increase.
Classroom teachers and apprentices receive great support. Lesson plans, demonstrations, student assignments, and activities are provided by expert curriculum developers. Teacher assistants, called Learning Coaches, make copies and grade papers for the teachers. Apprentices have minimal duties and only four days a month. The maximum salary for a Teacher Apprentice with three years of demonstrated achievement is $64,000.
Candidate must have a bachelor’s degree.
