Location: High School – Westwood Regional High School

• Demonstrate knowledge of a comprehensive developmental counseling program, child growth and development, educational planning, learning assessment and diagnosis, research related to learning, and resources in school/community for secondary students.
• Exhibit enthusiasm and sensitive interpersonal skills to relate well with students, staff, administration, parents, and the community.
• Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively with students, parents, and educators concerning the needs and abilities related to social-emotional and/or educational growth.
• Knowledge of crisis intervention strategies and resources for at‑risk students.
• Broad knowledge of testing and evaluation, theories of individual and group counseling techniques, and secondary school counseling program design.
• Experience working with at‑risk students.
• Minimum experience as determined by the board.

• Valid New Jersey Instructional Certificate:
  School Counselor endorsement or eligibility required.
• Required criminal history background check, fingerprinting, and proof of U.S. citizenship or legal resident alien status.

• Per the established WEA Salary Guide ranging from $56,000 to $105,677.
• Full‑time staff eligible for medical, prescription, dental, and vision benefits.
• Sick and personal days are included per the WEA contract.
