Job Description
Position: Teacher Assistant (LEAP/ECSE)
Starting Date: Immediately
Exempt Status: Non-Exempt
Number of Days: According to district approved calendar
Department: Assigned Campus, Special Services
Reports To: Principal, Supervising Teacher, Special Services Supervisor
Supervises: None
Position Type: Full-Time
Education- High School Diploma or GED and/or 30 semester hours of an accredited college or university
- Educational Aide Certificate from state of Texas
- Have satisfied one of the following requirements:
- Have three creditable years of experience, as defined in Chapter 153, Subchapter CC, of this title (relating to Commissioner’s Rules of Creditable Years of Service), as either an educational aide I or II; or b. have completed 30 semester credit hours of college credit with some emphasis on child growth and development or related subject areas.
- Have experience working with students and parents as approved by the employing superintendent.
- Citizenship, residency or work visa required
