Purpose:

Support the campus principal in providing instructional leadership, student supervision, and operational management of the school while leading the implementation of curriculum, instruction, college/career readiness, and professional development initiatives. This role ensures high-quality teaching and learning through coaching, program monitoring, and data-informed decision-making.

Qualifications:

Education/Certification:
  • Master’s degree in educational administration or related field
  • Valid Texas teaching certificate
  • Texas Principal certification or eligibility required
  • Instructional Leadership or Coaching certification (preferred)
Special Knowledge/

Skills:

  • Strong instructional leadership, coaching, and data analysis skills
  • In-depth knowledge of TEKS, curriculum alignment, and instructional strategies
  • Experience with CTE, CCMR, dual credit programs, and secondary instructional programs
  • Proficiency with instructional technology tools and learning platforms
  • Effective organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
Experience:
  • Minimum 3–5 years of successful teaching experience
  • Leadership or coaching experience at the campus or district level (preferred)
Major

Responsibilities and Duties:

Campus Administration:
  • Assist the principal with the daily operations of the campus including supervision, discipline, safety, and logistics.
  • Support implementation and monitoring of the Campus Improvement Plan (CIP).
  • Participate in the teacher appraisal process (T-TESS), offering formative and summative feedback.
  • Oversee student attendance tracking and implement truancy prevention strategies.
  • Supervise arrival, dismissal, lunch, and other assigned duties to ensure campus safety and organization.
  • Conduct student conferences, parent meetings, and disciplinary interventions as needed.
Instructional Leadership:
  • Serve as an instructional coach and mentor to classroom teachers.
  • Conduct classroom walkthroughs, provide actionable feedback, and facilitate coaching cycles.
  • Guide the implementation of high-impact teaching strategies, student engagement techniques, and research-based instructional practices.
  • Monitor and support instructional accommodations for diverse learners, including EL, SPED, 504, and RTI students.
  • Collaborate with teachers on lesson planning aligned with TEKS, district curriculum, and assessment frameworks.
  • Support vertical alignment and backward design practices within and across grade levels.
College, Career, and Military Readiness (CCMR) & CTE Oversight:
  • Ensure rigor and alignment in dual credit and CTE instruction.
  • Verify CTE teacher certifications and support proper scheduling aligned with TEA requirements.
  • Assist with CTE budget planning and instructional resource procurement.
  • Provide training to campus staff on compliance, documentation, and scheduling best practices related to CCMR and CTE programs.
Professional Learning & PLC Leadership:
  • Plan, deliver, and evaluate professional development aligned to district and campus goals.
  • Lead and support campus PLCs focused on data-driven planning and instructional alignment.
  • Develop and provide tools that support effective PLC practices and backward planning.
Data-Driven Instruction:
  • Support teachers in analyzing student data to guide instruction and develop targeted interventions.
  • Monitor progress using benchmark, formative, and digital learning data.
  • Assist in the creation of data dashboards and reports for use by leadership and instructional teams.
  • Collaborate with staff to identify performance gaps and drive student achievement growth.
  • Provide training and coaching on the effective use of instructional technology tools and platforms.
  • Partner with the campus technology coordinator and district staff to ensure technology is integrated into classroom practice.
  • Monitor the use of digital learning programs to support engagement and personalization.
Communication & Stakeholder Engagement:
  • Support teachers in using student data to communicate progress with families.
  • Facilitate growth-focused conversations with teachers grounded in evidence and classroom impact.
  • Serve as a liaison between campus staff, central office, and instructional program vendors.
Supervisory Responsibilities:

Supervise assigned personnel, student activities, and instructional programs. Participate in the evaluation of staff as assigned by the campus principal.
