Role Mission
Deliver instruction and manage a positive, safe learning environment when the classroom teacher is absent.
What We OfferCompensation:
- $110 per day for non-degreed substitute teachers.
- $130 per day for Bachelor's degreed substitute teachers.
- Long‑term assignments pay up to $200 per day, starting from day 11 of consecutive assignment.
- Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree preferred OR at least 1 year of experience working with children. Must pass a background check. - Skills:
Strong English communication skills, belief in college for all, and commitment to being a positive influence on students.
- Follow lesson plans and perform additional duties as assigned.
- Engage with students to provide instruction and facilitate learning.
- Monitor student behavior and performance.
- Ensure student safety and maintain a positive learning environment.
- Complete all required professional development.
- Adhere to school policies and maintain student confidentiality.
- Hours:
7:15 a.m. – 4:15 p.m. - Work a minimum of 1 assignment per week.
- Be punctual and complete all scheduled assignments.
- Demonstrate flexibility, reliability, and patience.
- Communicate effectively and timely.
- Move around the classroom for extended periods and actively monitor the environment.
- Ability to regularly move about the classroom to monitor and assist students.
- Ability to frequently position self to interact with students at various levels.
- Ability to communicate and convey instructions clearly.
- Ability to observe details at close range and at a distance.
- Ability to occasionally work in outdoor weather conditions.
