High School Social Studies Teacher for grades 9-12.

• Must meet State of Michigan Highly Qualified requirements
  — Current Michigan Secondary Teaching Certificate with Social Studies endorsement RX and/or CX
• Must pass fingerprint check prior to employment
• Proficient in technology and student engagement techniques
• Instruct high school students according to the Social Studies State standards
• Proficient in classroom management techniques and Social Studies curriculum
• Ability to:
  • Work in a collaborative manner with department members
  • Use best practices that maximize student engagement and differentiation to maximize learning
  • Use a number of assessment strategies to track and foster student growth
• Attend professional development meetings/training and collaborate with peers for continuous growth
• Experience working with high school–aged children preferred
• ESL certified and bilingual applicants a plus
