Work-Study Student Assistant-Daycare (Pool)

Childcare assistance is needed at both the Helen L. Greathouse and Manor Park facilities.
Must be a currently enrolled student and registered for classes. Must meet all Work Study eligibility requirements through the Financial Aid Office. Must be at least 18 years of age. Must successfully pass an FBI fingerprint check and criminal history background check. Basic computer skills. Good reading, writing, and oral communication skills and the ability to communicate positively and be patient with coworkers, parents, and children.
Proficient in the English language.
Previous childcare experience or currently majoring in childcare/education.
Playing with small children. Reading books to children. Changing diapers. Light cleaning. Lifting children.
Must be in good physical health, energetic, nurturing, and patient. Must be able to lift children up to 40 pounds to change diapers, assist with potty training, walking, bending, standing, stooping, reaching, squatting down, stretching, sitting on the floor, rising up from low chairs or when sitting on the floor, and must be able to participate with children on the playground.
Ethical behavior, security sensitive work, team-oriented, cooperation with coworkers, secure work environment, confidentiality required.
All Midland College positions are security-sensitive and subject to Texas Education Code §51.215, which authorizes the employer to obtain criminal history record information. An employment offer is contingent on completion of a satisfactory criminal background investigation.
Min Salary: $9.20 per hour. Max Salary: $9.20 per hour.
