Master's Degree in Psychology; or acceptance into a Master's Degree program to pursue School Psychology

Pursuing School Psychologist licensure (preferred)

Knowledge of psychological theory, assessment of child and adolescent personality, knowledge of objective and projective personality measures.

Knowledge of educational foundations

Ability to manage programs effectively and efficiently

Ability to demonstrate leadership of professional staff and provide clinical supervision

Ability to interpret statistical educational data

Knowledge of Special Education laws pertaining to the education of students with emotional disabilities and autism.

Conduct observations for School Psychologists to assist with psychological evaluations and/or Functional Behavior Assessments (FBAs) of referred students. Plan and manage the psychological evaluation referrals for School Psychologists. Coordinate interagency referrals and agreements. Provide training for teachers in special teaching methods and behavioral intervention. Assist with the creation of FBAs and Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs). Train staff to follow BIPs as well as other topics.

Monitor referral log as well as assist supervisor with the contract staff assignments for needed assessments

1. Monitor referral log as well as assist supervisor with the contracted staff assignments for pending assessments

2. Maintain case records on all referred students.

3. Maintain confidential eligibility records accurately and within timelines.

4. Work collaboratively and under the supervision of an assigned School Psychologist (SP).

5. Consult with special education teachers and other special education staff members.

6. Monitor/chart behavioral and instructional progress for students you are completing an FBA.

7. Establish/maintain a Behavioral Intervention Plan (BIP) for students to support them on the home campus.

8. Provide professional development for general and special education staff.

9. Conduct observations for School Psychologists to assist with psychological evaluations

10. Plan and manage the psychological evaluation referrals for School Psychologists.

11. Explain the details of the FBA, and train staff to follow BIPs as well as other topics.

12. Other duties as assigned and determined by the Superintendent, Board, Special Services Executive Director, or as assigned by the Special Services Leadership Team.

Supervise the materials for school psychologists. Ensure SPs have access to the necessary testing platforms.

Experience working with students who have individual and specific needs.

Experience with research guided practices utilized for School Psychology and services.

Work with frequent interruptions

Occasional prolonged or irregular hours.

Frequent standing, stooping, bending, pulling and pushing.

Must be able to lift at least 25 lbs. occasionally with assistance

Move small stacks of evaluation materials, desks, and other classroom equipment.
