Job SummaryAssist students in the Math Lab with math assignments using effective tutoring techniques.
Required Qualifications- Successful completion of the equivalent of a transfer level math course or instructor recommendation
- Ability to interact with students on an individual basis or in groups
- Ability to explain information and mathematical concepts through oral and written communication
- Prefer Math, Physics, Chemistry or Engineering major
- Basic computer skills
- Instruct and assist students in the use of mathematical related technology such as the calculators (TI-30, TI-35, TI-83, TI-84), mathematical software, and computerized tutorial programs through demonstrations
- Work effectively with math students of all levels to promote student success in mathematics
- Must be organized, reliable, and punctual
- Follow best practices for tutoring as instructed
- Abide by the Midland College policies and procedures
- Contribute to a safe educational and working environment
- Other duties as assigned
- Must be able to lift or move up to 25 pounds
- Must be able to sit or stand for long periods of time
- Ability to move around room to assist students for entire shift
- Use of manual dexterity

Min Salary $11.00 per hour
Max Salary $17.50 per hour
Pay StatementPay Statement Salary is commensurate with educational qualifications and experience.
