Third Future Schools is a high‑achieving and growing network of charter schools. The network's school in Midland, Texas, South Elementary is looking for a Pre‑Kindergarten Teacher Assistant.
Teacher Assistants work with distinguished teachers to grow their craft and become classroom teachers. They teach students in collaboration with the teachers, familiarizing themselves with lessons and instructional materials to teach effectively. Once the school leadership team and teacher determine the Assistant is ready to provide direct instruction without support, they will be elevated to the teacher position with a salary increase.
Classroom teachers and assistants receive great support. Lesson plans, demonstrations of learning, and student assignments and activities are provided by expert curriculum developers. Teacher assistants make copies and grade papers. The role has minimal duties and only four days a month. Salary ranges from $38,000 to $43,000, with a maximum salary for assistants with three years of demonstrated achievement of $43,000.
