Position Function/PurposeAssist the teacher in the planning, preparation, and implementation of classroom activities and administrative requirements. Work cooperatively with campus personnel and cooperating teacher.
Major Responsibilities- Assist the teacher in planning, preparation, and implementation of instruction
- Uphold and enforce school rules, administrative regulations, and state and local board policy
- Work with individual students or small groups to conduct instructional activities assigned by cooperating teacher
- Assist in management and supervision of students throughout the school day, both inside and outside of the classroom
- Keep the teacher informed of any special needs or challenges of individual students
- Assist in maintaining a neat and orderly classroom
- Assist in inventory, care, and maintenance of equipment
- Assist the teacher in keeping administrative records and preparing reports
- Participate in in-service programs, faculty meetings, and special events, as needed
- All other duties as assigned by the campus principal, cooperating teacher, or EPP Field Supervisor
- Enrollment in Educator Preparation Program for placement in teacher residency
- Ability to work well with campus staff, cooperating teacher, students and parents
