Job Summary

The Lecture/Lab Instructor teaches kinesiology lecture and laboratory courses, develops instructional and assessment materials, and supports student learning through effective classroom and laboratory instruction.

• Communicate course objectives, learning outcomes, expectations, and policies to students through the course syllabus and other instructional materials.
• Provide effective instruction in assigned kinesiology courses and support student success through appropriate teaching and assessment.
• Collaborate with the Kinesiology Chair on curriculum, assessment, scheduling, student concerns, and other departmental initiatives to support student success and program effectiveness.
• Ensure safety requirements are followed in the classroom and laboratory.
• Respond to student questions and concerns during class, office hours, and through timely electronic communication
• Use the Learning Management System (LMS) appropriately to support instruction, student learning, and course communication.
• Maintain academic records in accordance with college policies, accreditation requirements, and applicable laws.
• Stay current with developments, trends, and best practices in the field of kinesiology.
• Participate in student learning outcomes assessment and program evaluation activities as required by the department and the College.
• Recommend textbooks and instructional materials that support kinesiology courses.

• Ability to lift or move equipment weighing up to 25 pounds
• Use of manual dexterity
• Ability to sit or stand for long periods of time
• Classroom, lab, and office setting

• Master's Degree with 18 graduate hours in Kinesiology
• Computer literate

• Teaching experience
