Position Details- Type:
Full-time, 12 month administrative position - Start Date:
August 2026 - Reports to:
Butler High School Principal / Superintendent
- New Jersey Standard Principal Certificate or Certificate of Eligibility (CE / CEAS) as a School Building Leader / Principal issued by the NJDOE.
- Minimum of 3–5 years of successful teaching and/or administrative experience.
- Demonstrated expertise in restorative discipline practices, Character Strong integration, and building positive school culture
- Familiarity with state/district assessment systems and NJ student attendance laws.
- Strong data analysis, administrative, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Administer and uphold the High School Code of Conduct with fairness, consistency, empathy, and integrity.
- Implement proactive, restorative justice practices to foster a respectful, inclusive school environment.
- Investigate, document, and manage behavioral incidents (BTAM), disciplinary actions, and Harassment, Intimidation, and Bullying (HIB) matters in compliance with district policy and NJDOE regulations.
- Partner with teachers, counselors, and support teams to create individualized behavior intervention plans.
- Oversee high school attendance tracking, daily monitoring, and chronic absenteeism intervention efforts.
- Lead the Attendance Committee, implementing proactive strategies and incentives to boost daily attendance and reduce tardiness.
- Conduct parent conferences, coordinate truancy intervention plans, and work with district liaisons and community agencies when necessary.
- Serve as the Primary School Test Coordinator for all local, state, and standardized testing programs (NJSLA, DLM, ACCESS, PSAT, SAT, AP).
- Manage test security, scheduling, facility planning, testing accommodations (IEP/504), and staff training.
