ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
  • Instruct students who are seeking to attain citizenship in the United States of America.
  • Develop appropriate curriculum.
  • Teach students in face-to-face setting.
  • Communicate effectively and appropriately with students
  • Develop and promote a safe learning environment for all students
  • Participate in student registration and orientation functions as necessary
Qualifications

Required Qualifications
  • An earned Bachelor's Degree in appropriate field. Exceptions may be approved by the Chief of Staff
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • General familiarity with computers and Word software
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in teaching adult or high school age students.
  • Experience with curriculum design, curriculum implementation, and assessment of student progress.
  • Experience in navigating the U.S. Citizenship and Services (USCIS) Website.
  • Experience in working with prospective students in assisting them with applying for Citizenship.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
  • Typical office
  • Business Hours
  • M-Th 8:00 a.m.

    - 5:00 p.m. F 8:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.
  • summer M-Th 7:30 a.m. – 5:30 pm
  • Periodic evening and weekend hours during peak periods (e.g., open enrollment, payroll)
  • Occasional travel (less than 10%)
Physical Demands
  • Frequently moves equipment or paperwork weighing up to 20 pounds
  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time
  • Use of manual dexterity
  • Repetitive use of a keyboard at a workstation
  • The person in this position needs to occasionally move from classroom to office

Salary Range: $26.00 per hour
