The Instructional Assistant for high school alternative online learning academy (Spartan Academy) assists the classroom teacher guiding students in achieving academic success towards a high school diploma.
In addition, substitute teaching at the secondary level when needed is required.
Qualifications:- Possess a strong professional work ethic
- Experience working with at-risk students sought
- ESL certified and Bilingual applicants sought
- Successfully pass all background checks
Must meetthe following requirements- Possess a current Michigan teaching certificate, OR
- Possess a current Michigan substitute permit, OR
- Meet the requirements to attain a Michigan substitute teaching permit
- Regular school year assignment - up to 7.0hours/day
- Rate - $17.00/hour
- Subject to 90 day probationary period
- At-will position - contracted through third party staffing company (PCMI / Edu Staff)
- Paid leave upon successful completion of probationary period
- Begin date subject to completion of third party hiring processes
- Substitute teach at secondary level when needed
