PT Clinical Instructor Associate Degree Nursing Midland College | Midland, TexasJOB SUMMARY The Part-Time Associate Degree Nursing Faculty member provides instruction and supervision of nursing students in clinical settings and/or the nursing skills and simulation laboratory. Classroom instruction may also be assigned based on the faculty member’s education, credentials, professional nursing experience, and areas of clinical expertise.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Collaborate with the Department Chair and program faculty to support achievement of course and program  team-taught courses, consult with the course instructor prior to the start of the semester to review and clarify course expectations and assignments.

Select appropriate patient assignments for students based on course and clinical learning objectives.

Apply effective principles of teaching, learning, and evaluation in the clinical, laboratory, and/or classroom setting.

Collaborate with faculty in evaluating student achievement of course and program learning outcomes.

Work cooperatively with clinical site staff to provide safe, effective, and meaningful student learning experiences.

As assigned, facilitate student learning in the simulation laboratory using high-fidelity simulation equipment and manikins.

Teach, supervise, and evaluate nursing skills and student performance.

Assist with preparation, organization, and maintenance of the nursing skills and simulation laboratory.

Demonstrate professionalism, dependability, and accountability, including regular attendance, preparedness, and timely completion of assigned responsibilities.
