Job Description:
Seeking an experienced Directional Driller to plan and execute directional drilling operations. The position involves monitoring and controlling drilling parameters to ensure accurate wellbore placement and optimal trajectory control. The Directional Driller will work closely with drilling teams to achieve project objectives and ensure safe, efficient operations.
Responsibilities:- Plan and execute directional drilling programs
- Monitor and control drilling parameters to achieve target wellbore trajectory
- Operate and maintain directional drilling tools and equipment
- Analyze real-time drilling data and make adjustments as needed
- Prepare and review well plans, drilling programs, and directional surveys
- Ensure wellbore placement meets project specifications and targets
- Communicate with rig personnel, drilling engineers, and management
- Provide technical support and guidance to drilling crews
- Identify and troubleshoot drilling problems and implement corrective actions
- Maintain accurate records and documentation of drilling operations
- Ensure compliance with safety procedures and industry regulations
- Conduct pre-job planning and post-job evaluations
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Directional Driller
- Strong knowledge of directional drilling tools, techniques, and technologies
- Ability to interpret well plans, geological data, and directional surveys
- Proficient in directional drilling software and systems
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Strong analytical and technical skills
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
