Position OverviewWe are seeking experienced Geosteering Geologists to support 24/7 drilling operations for a major operator in the Southern region. This role is on‑site in the client’s office, working directly alongside drilling, directional drilling, and asset teams.
This position is designed for professionals who thrive in fast‑paced, high‑accountability environments and can communicate drilling and targeting decisions quickly, clearly, and confidently.
Work Schedule & Rotation- 14 days on / 14 days off rotation (initial rotation structure)
- 12‑hour shifts (day or night)
- Continuous 24‑hour coverage
- Provide real‑time geosteering support during curve and lateral drilling
- Communicate effectively with drilling, directional drilling, and asset teams
- Make timely wellbore placement and targeting recommendations
- Interpret real‑time geological, petrophysical, and directional data
- Support rapid decision‑making in time‑sensitive drilling environments
- Maintain clear documentation and handovers between shifts
- Operate exclusively on client wells during assigned shifts
- Bachelor’s degree in Geology or Earth Science (or equivalent)
- Minimum of 2 years of geosteering experience in active drilling environments
- Strong understanding of horizontal well placement and targeting
- Ability to communicate clearly and decisively under pressure
- Experience working directly with drilling and directional teams
- Comfortable operating in a collaborative, on‑site office setting
- Strong situational awareness and ability to manage multiple data streams in real time
- On‑location in the client’s Texas office (not remote)
- Embedded with drilling and operational teams
- High‑visibility role with direct impact on well performance

This position offers a competitive annual salary range of $100,000–$130,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
