SCADA Technician
As a SCADA Technician, you will install, configure, and maintain SCADA systems and field hardware, ensuring continuous operation and reliability. This is a mid-level position with the opportunity to grow into a Senior SCADA Technician.

- Install, configure, and maintain SCADA systems and related field hardware
- Monitor and troubleshoot SCADA systems to ensure continuous operation
- Troubleshoot and repair field communications issues for SCADA
- Perform routine maintenance and upgrades on SCADA hardware and software
- Conduct system testing and validation to ensure accuracy and reliability
- Collaborate with engineers and field technicians to resolve technical issues
- Work directly with clients to identify issues and coordinate a resolution
- Work with Clients and co-workers to identify and recommend improvements and new technologies
- Maintain accurate documentation of SCADA system configurations and changes
- Train and support field personnel in the use of SCADA systems and field hardware
- Respond to emergency calls and provide timely resolution to system issues
Qualifications:
- 2-5 years of experience with SCADA systems in the oil and gas industry.
- Basic understanding of industrial automation and control systems.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Quick learner; able to adapt to new technologies.
- Strong organizational and time management abilities.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Must possess a valid Driver’s License and clean abstract.
- Ability to travel and work away from home.
- Must be able to pass a drug and alcohol test.
Qualifications:
- Exposure to the use and maintenance of SCADA software and hardware.
- Relevant certifications in SCADA systems (VTSCADA and Ignition).
- Knowledge of communication protocols (e.g., Modbus, TCP/IP).
- RTU/PLC experience.
- Communications hardware experience.
- Associate's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field preferred.
- Journeyman Instrumentation ticket.
- Relevant certifications in SCADA systems.
